My work lives between function and feeling, functional pieces made in small series for everyday rituals and sculptural forms that are quiet, deliberate and complete in themselves. The work is shaped slowly, on the wheel or by hand. Layered slips and glazes, natural textures and the kind of imperfection that makes something feel alive.
I work with clay as a material that never truly leaves the landscape. Every vessel begins in the earth, is shaped by hand, transformed by fire, and continues its journey in everyday life. I don't see my work as bringing nature into the home. Rather, I see each piece as remaining part of the natural world while finding a place within it.
Through ceramics, photography and writing, I explore quiet relationships between material, place and time.
